What are soccer goal post pads for?
Goal post pads are a safety feature. They ensure that should anyone collide with a support post, they are much less likely to suffer any sort of injury. Support post pads are required by some soccer organisations, and feature 25mm thick foam with wipe-clean covers.
What is a hinged bottom net frame?
A hinged bottom frame is used to keep the goal net secured to the floor and hold the box net shape in place. It can be used instead of, or in addition to, ground pegs and goal weights. If used without additional anchoring tools, it makes it much easier for a groundskeeper to access the turf underneath the goal net. Made from galvanised steel and reinforced aluminium, FORZA bottom net frames are rust proof and built to last.
What are FORZA UEFA Soccer Net Support Post Pads made from?
The pads have a 25mm-thick closed-cell foam core wrapped in a waterproof, heavy-duty PVC cover. The foam absorbs impact from anyone who collides with or makes contact with the rear net-support posts behind the goal. The PVC cover is UV-resistant and suitable for permanent outdoor installation in Australian conditions. Each pad wraps around a standard net-support post and secures with hook-and-loop fasteners. Installation and removal take under a minute per post.
How does the FORZA Hinged Bottom Net Frame work?
The Hinged Bottom Net Frame is a rigid galvanised steel frame that sits along the ground line inside a stadium box goal. It is an alternative to ground net pegs, and holds the net down and in place with its weight. When the field needs mowing, line-marking or general maintenance, the frame hinges upwards on its rear pivot, lifting the net out of the way. Once maintenance is complete, the frame drops back into position in seconds.
Why use a hinged bottom net frame instead of ground pegs?
Ground pegs are a proven way to secure a goal net, but they create three practical problems for groundskeepers and clubs. Pegs are trip and injury hazards for players who land behind the goal. They have to be lifted and reinserted every time the field needs mowing or line-marking, which slows down maintenance. And repeated peg removal can damage the surface directly behind the goal, where turf wear is already highest. A hinged bottom net frame removes all three issues by weighing the net down passively and lifting out of the way easily.
Are FORZA goal post pads suitable for permanent outdoor use in Australia?
Yes. The PVC cover is UV-stable and the closed-cell foam core retains its shape and impact absorption over time. The PVC does not absorb water, so the pads can be left in place year-round. For grounds with heavy year-round use, we recommend a quick visual check at the start and end of each season for cover wear. Pads should be wiped clean periodically with a mild detergent and water. Do not use solvents, bleach or pressure washing, which can damage the PVC exterior.
