Ball Stop System Size
- 4.6m (15ft) long overall, which is 3.7m (12ft) above ground level
- 6.9m (22.5ft) long overall, which will be 6m (20ft) above ground level
Ball Stop Netting
- There are four types of netting available, 25mm, 28mm mesh, 48mm mesh and 120mm mesh
- The 120mm mesh, 2.5mm thick HDPE netting stops large sporting balls for soccer, basketball, rugby and Gaelic football and is available in black or green
- The 48mm mesh, 2mm thick HDPP netting stops smaller sporting balls for baseball, hurling, cricket, tennis and lacrosse available in black
- The 28mm mesh, 1.2mm thick HDPE driving range netting designed to stop stray golf balls only from distance. It is not designed for close head on impact available in black
- The 25mm mesh, 2.5mm thick HDPP golf impact netting is for golf balls only and can be used as heavy-duty driving range netting or for direct impacts available in black
Ball Stop Posts
- The posts are manufactured from 80mm OD reinforced aluminium and powder coated green
- The posts are made up of 2 sections (for 3.7m high posts), 3 sections (for 6m high posts) or 4 sections (for 8m high posts) for ease of transportation and storage
- Each post weighs an estimated 20kgs (44lbs) and can simply drop in and out of the ground sockets by hand
Installation
- The aluminium sockets are 90cm (35 inches) deep
- Sockets need to be professionally concreted into the ground using a minimum 100cm x 60cm x 60cm (39 inches x 24 inches x 24 inches) of concrete – concrete not included
- Posts need to be spaced approximately at 5m (16.5 ft) intervals
- Entire system can be easily erected by hand
Miscellaneous
- A pulley, cleat and hauling rope is supplied with each post so the netting can be simply raised and lowered when required by hand
- It is advisable that the netting is lowered in high winds to reduce the risk of damage
- Product comes flat packed and will require assembly
- 22mm & 120mm mesh net is available in green and black
- 28mm & 48mm mesh net is available in black

Combining super strong aluminium ball stop posts and heavy-duty ball stop netting, this complete backstop system is reliable, durable, and quick and easy to both install and demount – it is suitable as a permanent system or as a removable one that can be simply taken down.
Choose from four different grades of netting depending on what sports your venue hosts, but rest assured our heavy duty ball stop netting will stop all balls ranging from full-size of soccer balls and rugby balls right down to smaller balls used in sports such as cricket, tennis, lacrosse and golf. The net is completely rot-proof, easy to hang and UV treated for long life.
The strong but lightweight ball stop posts simply drop into the ground sockets and can be easily erected by hand. Please note that the ground sockets will require concreting into the ground, a service we would recommend you utilising a professional builder or contractor.
Each post is fitted with a pulley, cleat, and lifting rope system meaning the netting can be simply raised and lowered as and when required by hand. When not in use lowering the netting prevents the ball stop system from being damaged in strong or gale force winds and allows the surrounding view not to be disturbed by the net.
