Wallingford [Connecticut]- Two local information technology companies have merged to create Forza-Bassett Technology Solutions, Joseph Pannone, chief executive officer of the new company, said Friday.
The merger blends Bassett Computer Systems with Forza Computer Consulting. Pannone said the arrangement will benefit clients because it combines Forza’s technical expertise in software development with Bassett's sales skills.
Bassett Computer Systems was located in North Haven. Forza Computer Consulting is located in Wallingford.
The new company occupies Forza's location at 329 Main St., Pannone said, and employs 20 workers.
An expansion and renovations currently are under way, Pannone said.
Bassett specializes in network sales and service. Forza develops customized Web-based software.
Clients of the combined company include Worldtek Travel, MasterCard, Yale University and the Girl Scouts of America, Pannone said.
Both Bassett Computer Systems and Forza Computer Consulting have won the Connecticut Technology Council's "Fast 50" award.
Conducted in conjunction with Deloitte & Touche, the award is given to technology firms that show stellar revenue growth over a five-year period.
